THE AMARANTHE CYCLE · THE AMARANTHE DECK
Campaign Rules & Rewards
Dragon riders, dangerous magic, and a chance to change Amaranthe forever. Participation is free. Readers and non-readers aged 18 or older may collect; book-exclusive prizes remain reserved for verified readers.
How to complete the 52-card collection
- Complete your first public Dragon Selection with your own email address, then activate your My Deck account.
- Collect all 36 unique Dragon Cards through the public quiz and your own Deck Trials.
- Follow all five required TikTok accounts: @authorannissharp, @amy.halden, @vaelricserrath, @annavale.captain, and @finnrell.
- Collect all 12 Court Cards: four Jacks, four Queens and four Kings. Parts One and Two may be played simultaneously. Part Three stays locked until both collections are complete.
- Part Three: after collecting all 36 Dragon and 12 Court cards, publish the official 48-card Trials announcement on TikTok, tag @authorannissharp and use #ContestEntry. Return to My Deck to confirm publication; that confirmation unlocks Siege of Ash. Win Siege for Ace One. The Wheel of Fate then offers 11 lifetime spins, each separated by four hours, with no Ace on the first spin, a 9% chance on spins two through ten, and Ace Two guaranteed by spin 11 if not earned earlier. One extra prize may be won but is not guaranteed. Ace Two opens Black Fire Hold’em. Eliminate Annis by taking all Dragon Coins to earn Ace Three; losing all your coins triggers a two-hour cooldown.
- Part Four: after earning the third Ace by defeating Annis, access 44 lifetime bonus-wheel spins separated by four hours. One of the two ordinary Jokers is guaranteed on a randomly assigned spin between 1 and 4. The fourth Ace is guaranteed on a randomly assigned spin between 5 and 11, completing the standard 52 cards. The other ordinary Joker is guaranteed on a randomly assigned spin between 12 and 44; readers who stop early may leave without it. Each eligible spin independently has a 0.1% chance of the sealed one-of-one secret reward while it remains unclaimed. A mystery bonus may accompany an ordinary draw and never replaces a guaranteed prize. First eligible 52-card finisher is subject to manual verification.
- After posting the Part Three announcement, keep the public TikTok post online and submit its link for official prize verification when requested. The post must tag @authorannissharp and contain #ContestEntry; self-attestation alone is not official verification.
- Collect all four Ace Cards to finish the 52 standard cards (36 Dragons, 12 Court and four Aces).
What happens when you finish?
You receive the permanent Full Deck achievement. Your completion time and the official card records are stored server-side. Collector rankings are private: only the first finisher receives a provisional first-place notice. All later collectors see only their own achievement, never a disappointing placement number.
Grand prize: the first eligible, verified finisher gets to become a canon character in Book Three of The Amaranthe Cycle. Second and third eligible finishers may each name the first name of one Book Three side character. Annis Sharp determines all characters' characteristics, role, conduct, appearance and ultimate fate.
First-place forfeiture rule: following all five listed TikTok accounts and following the five accounts by 52-card completion and completing the required Part Three Trials announcement post before Siege are mandatory. If a first-place claimant is found not to follow even one designated account or not to have complied with the mandatory Part Three post rule, their grand-prize claim is forfeited and passes to the next eligible finisher in recorded completion order. Final verification is performed by the campaign administrator. A collector retains their earned cards and Full Deck achievement even if prize eligibility is forfeited.
Winners must respond within exactly 14 days of the administrator's first recorded contact attempt. The countdown does not restart when a reminder is sent. An unresponsive or ineligible winner is passed over in favor of the next eligible finisher.
Thank You acknowledgements: eligible Full Deck finishers may receive acknowledgement in the Thank You section of a future published volume. The author will communicate the applicable publication allocation once it is established. Use of a person's real name requires separate written permission.
Prize Wheels & Bonus Round
Part Three opens after the collector has all 36 Dragons and 12 Court Cards. Before starting the Siege, the collector must publish the supplied Trials artwork and caption on TikTok and then confirm that step inside My Deck. The Siege awards Ace One after a verified victory; unsuccessful attempts incur a two-hour cooldown. Its 11% precommitted catastrophe outcome remains in effect. Wheel of Fate awards one different Ace with no Ace on the first spin, 9% on spins two through ten, and a guarantee on spin 11 if necessary. The Wheel gives up to one additional non-Ace prize, which is not guaranteed. It has 11 lifetime spins with at least four hours between any two spins and closes once both the Ace and a side prize have been drawn. Winning Ace Two immediately unlocks server-verified Hold’em against Annis, regardless of remaining Wheel spins. Winning all of Annis’s Dragon Coins grants Ace Three and access to Part Four. Private portrait and 18+ confirmation are also required for public gameplay.
Part Four opens on verified Hold’em victory and three Aces. It has 44 lifetime spins with at least four hours between consecutive spins. One standard Joker is assigned to a random spin from 1–4. The fourth Ace is assigned to a random spin from 5–11, and 52-card completion is recorded at the moment that Ace is awarded. The other standard Joker is assigned to a random spin from 12–44. These standard rewards are guaranteed only if the player continues spinning far enough to reach the relevant assigned draw. The sealed one-of-one special reward has an independent 0.1% chance per eligible spin while its single global award remains available. If it appears on the same spin as a standard reward, both are recorded, and the rare reward remains sealed pending reader verification. No additional purchase or wagering is involved; all Dragon Coins are fictional and nonredeemable.
Legacy prizes: earlier Imperial Wanted and Archive Rider awards remain recorded for their existing claimants; these prizes are retired from new Part Four spins. The sealed third Joker: its single provisional winner must unlock the password-protected Black Fire Wakes reader area; its appearance and secret benefit remain concealed outside that area. The author verifies eligibility and retains final editorial control. The two ordinary Jokers are bonus collectibles, not part of the 52 standard cards.
Eligibility, consent & fair play
This is an ongoing competition with no required book purchase and no fixed public campaign end date. Participants must be at least 18 and comply with applicable law. Cards are non-transferable. Automated submissions, multiple accounts to gain unfair odds, manipulation of spin requests, falsely claimed follow relationships or false social submissions may result in disqualification or removal of invalid awards.
Official card ownership and award history are recorded by the website, not established by downloaded screenshots. Submitting a social post or image does not itself confirm publication or prize eligibility. The campaign may ask for evidence during winner review. Winners must separately consent in writing to publishing their names, likenesses or other identifying information; that consent is not implied by entering, collecting, or uploading a private photo.
Reader-exclusive rewards such as Character Letters, the Memory Vault, Unwritten Pages and the Forbidden Archive are separate from the public collector wheels. The third Joker remains a hidden reader reward; it is not included in 52-card completion.
See our Privacy Policy for data-handling information. Prize eligibility and social-platform compliance may be subject to additional applicable local regulations.
